President Lincoln Dedicates Ground
Battlefield to Be New Cemetary

GETTYSBURG, Penn.- Thursday afternoon, President Abraham Lincoln delivered a speech dedicating the sacred battleground of the Battle of Gettysburg into the new Soldier's National Cemetary. 1,500 people were present for President Lincolns dedication. President Lincoln captivated the crowds attention in making the hopeful statement, “ That we here highly resolve that these dead shall not have died in vain -- that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom.” Lincoln emphasized the point that the 7,500 whose blood has already been spilt have dedicated this sacred ground. “We have come to dedicate a portion of that field, as a final resting place for those who here gave their lives that that nation might live.”

President Lincoln’s speech will be remembered for years to come. He has a divine talent of captivating the people and bringing them hope, daring them to dream of a better life.

I know we didn't have a lot of time, so you did a really good job! If you had more time I would recommend putting some information at the end about the actual Battle and why this ground is important.

We were limited on time so not a ton of information was put in but it was still well oragnized and good for the amount of time we had. Good job!

As the other two comments have already said we didn't have a lot of time to research, I would of liked to see some of the info from the first paragraph into the second and a little more setting of the scene in the first paragraph. Good job, we're really learning how to work under pressure!
